The other day, in real life, I went to the tire store at the bottom of my hill. I dropped off my car after I ordered new tires and walked home. While I was ordering my tires I thought I recognized a man at the register. He may have been the manager but either way I thought it was my ex brother in laws old business partner Jay Dolan. So I was giving him a bit more of a glimpse when suddenly he looked back at me. I didn't want to turn away abruptly and at the same time I was still trying to figure out if it was Jay Dolan, whose name, btw, I could not recall at that time. Actually I just remembered it yesterday when I saw the name Dolan on my database at work. So anyway, we ended up in a bit of a staring match and I was completely caught off guard. I am afraid to say I think he may have thought I was checking him out. I was in fact examining his face but I wasn't checking him out. Our eyes were locked and I finally broke the connection. I cracked a joke and he responded and that was that. We went back to business and I walked home. Then I felt guilty for looking at another man so long and tried to converse with my husband about it. I asked him if he ever found himself looking at a woman eye to eye and he said no. Then he was slightly suspicious as to why I asked but he's not the jealous type. He is not one to make up a scenario needlessly.
So the following Monday at dinnertime my husband was home from work and the house phone rang. It was a blocked call. He answered it and they asked for me. He said I wasn't home yet and asked them who it was that was calling--and they hung up! He called me immediately and I told him I had given my phone number out to many people this week, for window replacements to a request for price quote for my new brakes and tires too! So that was that, until they called again and hung up on him.
The next evening the phone rang and the same scenario came about. I was home this time and told my husband it was probably spam and I don't answer calls that are blocked or spam. And that was that.
So this morning, now remember my husband doesn't know what happened in the tire store; he woke up and said "I dreamed you were flirting with a man right in front of me!" Then he said he told the man "my wife is beautiful isn't she?" But then he expressed he was a little upset that even after that I kept flirting with the man.
I asked him how exactly was I flirting. He told me that I was flirting with him with my eyes. I almost told him the story but I thought it would be needless. I don't want him to worry for my little encounter. Maybe I will tell him tonight. More than likely I will.
