So I did a little searching on ancestry.com after finding Martin Sagan and spouse Roze Golownia was in my tree. This info draws me close to the Ghettos of Poland. I came across some docs with the name Von Sagan, which is what we heard the Segien name was, of course until recently I thought it was Von Segien. So I ended up last night traveling through the streets of what seemed like Germany, it could have been Poland, either way it was in Europe in WWII. The streets were trenches for people to walk through so they'd be subsurface and go undetected--you could only see the tops of their heads. I ended up with my family, a family I was unfamiliar with, in a vacant home where we would rest, eat, sleep. The yard was mostly dirt and the house was all dark wood, but clean. Then the woman who lived there showed up outside, she was talking to my sister who showed up in the dream with pink pajama bottoms, I was under the impression she had been killed and that's why we occupied her house, but apparently she wasn't, but she didn't interfere with our stay because I think my sister warded her away, yet her presence just made me feel uncomfortable. The next day she was dead . Suddenly I was supposed to marry a man who was a survivor in the area and I agreed I would surely marry him although I didn't love him. People bonded quickly during the war. The next day, he too was blown to bits. I stood over his body parts trying to determine just what I would do next.
Suddenly I was in a restaurant in another odd dream which I barely remember.
So this all brings me back to a most important dream. I had it a few years back, perhaps in 2007. It went like this:
I was in the forest. My relatives, I called them Uncles or Cousins of my great-grandfather Kasimir who came to the US in 1905 were there, relatives he left behind in Vilna. They helped the Jews by supplying wood for underground bunkers in the forest in order to hide from the Nazis. Because of that they were going to be in the hall of Saints. At the time of this dream I knew nothing about Vilna, I had no idea there was even a forest there, I didn't know it was adjacent to Belarus and I didn't know about the other ghettos surrounding the forest. I only knew Vila was a 'bohemian artist town predominantly Jewish.'
The next day in real life I took my mother to Target in Watertown. I discussed the dream with her. As we were getting out of the car she said 'Do you think we're Jewish?' I said I did not know the answer to that but it sure did seem that way.
We walked into Target and I walked into the first section of clothing as I was drawn there and instantly there was a shiney gold coin on the floor so I picked it up. It was so shiney it was almost surreal. It had a 10 on one side and a menorrah on the other. I held it up to my mother, my eyes wide open, I said HERE"S OUR ANSWER! When I got it home I found out it was a Sheckel.
Later I had another dream of walking into a house and I saw something on the doorway and I actually heard the word "Mezuzah". I looked it up when I woke up, it is a prayer scroll the Jews hang on thier doorways to remind them to keep Yahweh or G-D with them at all times.
A year went by and a movie trailer was on TV. It was about the Jews hiding in the woods of Belarus. They came from all the little ghettos around Belarus, Vilna, Lida, etc. They used wood to make underground bunkers to hide from the Jews.
They said they kept this movie the best kept secret, no one heard about it. It was filmed in the village of Vilna, where my great grandfather was born. I just found out his uncle lived in Lida.
I went to the movie. In the first scene someone walked through a doorway. There on the wall was a Mezuzah.

Pastor Doug
Saturday night, well early Sunday morning I dreamed Pastor Doug from my church came over to me and telepathically told me that there was a man at church who needed my husbands help.
I knew it was telepathic because I don't think he moved his lips.

The Rare Red Ducks
Not last night but the night before I heard my husband talk in his sleep. He said something like 'well if you want to argue then....' So when he awoke I was just about to ask him if he had any dreams and he started to tell me one while his eyes were still unopened. He said we were strolling down a park walkway and approached a family of beautiful rare red ducks. The said they had a beautiful bright red coat and a brown head and a bright yellow beak. He was amazed at their beauty and how lucky we were to find them. That's when I pushed them out of their nest! He turned to me and said "YOU ARE SO MEAN!" Twice.
I guess I am a bit mean, but I would never harm a duck. I might ruffle a few feathers now and then but only because you've got to make birds fly. That's the only thing I can think of, but the bottom line is, mean is mean, no matter what your intent. ;(

The Kiss
This dream came right after the Georgia dream.
Somehow I felt like I was still in Georgia but that may only be becuase I just dreamed about it, I just can't tell. So anyway, in the dream it was nice outside and suddenly I found myself strolling into a fancy eccentric club of some sort. It was pretty dark and there was some entertainment there, the only lights may have been those white sparkly lights at least I think there were lights. Mike Doughty was sitting on a chair. I walked over and sat down on his lap and gave him a kiss, well he just couldn't refuse it. And so we kissed for about minute. Well maybe it was really like 5 seconds. That was the end of that dream.
But you know kiss doesn't really mean a kiss all the time. Sometimes it means talking. Why? Because you are using your lips, and lips form words. It could have been a communication dream of some sort, but it sure was sweet!

The Georgia Wedding
Last night my husband and I needed to get to Florida, there was a 1,000.00 prize there waiting for us. I saw the plane tickets, they routed us to Texas and connected to Florida but somehow Florida ended up as Georgia. The thought of spending money to fly to Georgia to get a 1,000.00 prize never entered my mind but anyway... so the next thing you know we were at a little church in Georgia which was adjacent to a tented area filled with ugly vintage furnishings; oak chairs with ugly mustard yellow cushions, and the like. Not only was the furniture vintage but so weren't the people there. They were like something out of a 70's movie, or yet even todays movies which keep portraying these southern men as a patriotic Jackie Gleason with a southern drawl or an elder 50 year old washed up bible thumping southern bell with a frilly dress, and talk about nepotists. Everyone knew everyone. So my husband was told he had one minute to pick out a thousand dollars worth of this old looking furniture. So he did. I recall after a few moments someone shouting "you have five seconds left" and wondering if my husband could actually get 1,000.00 worth of crap out of this deal. All I could think of was how much it was going to cost us to ship this stuff back home. While we were strolling outside on the sidewalk afterward I expressed my concern and my husband said we could do it with about 60 bucks and somehow I believed it.
After this craziness we were given a room for the night and we were invited to a wedding which took place right there at the chapel, which was adjacent to the prize tent, which was adjacent to the room we were given. I asked where the bathroom was because of course I had to freshen up and get into something nice to wear, and someone pointed to the back of the chapel. I proceeded to walk up the isle by the people who were already sitting in the pews, dressed and chit chatting, waiting for the wedding. The good thing was that it was very laid back and I didn't feel very rushed. There was plenty of time. I ended up wearing a green shirt and a beautiful green wooden-bead necklace. There was another brown necklace that I noticed looked nice with my green necklace but it turns out the brown one was attached to another shirt. But I looked fine anyway.
So I emerged from the bathroom, walked back down through the chapel and down to the alcove where people were relaxing at tables and random food was being served at little food stations but not hor's deurves, other foods. Like deserts. My husband found some red velvet cake with a fluffy white cream frosting and next to it a bowl of some sort of strawberry dipping sauce that he died over, and normally he's not too much on sweets. Then I saw the couple who was to be married out of the corner of my eye, she wasn't a very big girl, she had dark straight hair. I don't know if I even saw the groom but I knew he was standing next to her.
That, pretty much, was the end of this dream. Sorry it's sortof like a cliffhanger. I expected to see the wedding at least, nevermind go home. Maybe they'll be a part II some day.
